Out of 235 applicants, CEE was one of 68 nonprofits selected to appear in the 2008-2009 Catalogue for Philanthropy. Inclusion in the Catalogue makes CEE one of the best small charities in the Greater Washington region.

- What your money will go for:
- $15,000 will purchase insurance for a van for one year
- $685 provides one educational field trip for 48 teens
- $300 allows one high school senior to purchase a cap and gown for graduation
- $250 provides a year of school supplies for 5 kids
- $100 will purchase 25 disposable cameras for a photo contest
- $50 allows 10 adult participants to attend job interviews using transportation tokens
- $40 allows one person to take the GED exam
- $25 will open a life-long savings account for one person
- We are currently in need of the following in-kind donations:
- Computers
- Printers
- Copy machines
- Arts & crafts supplies
- Diapers & baby wipes
- Transportation tokens for the Washington Metro system
